Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Disc Wheelset 23mm
Mavic's fastest Cosmic wheelset yet, the SLR 45s are developed for an aerodynamic advantage, with a 45mm deep carbon rim, aero spokes and Infinity hubs. Reduced inertia thanks to the lighter rim means an agile ride that's rigid and responsive to power put through the pedals. Fore technology contributes to the low weight as the upper rim bed is not drilled and, therefore, less reinforcement is required. Additionally, there's no need for rim tape in a tubeless setup, reducing hassle during set up and repair.The 23mm internal width is optimised for wider tyres, creating improved traction, faster rolling and more comfort.These wheels are designed, engineered and patented by Mavic in Annecy, France, and are 100% handmade in their European carbon factory.
Fore carbon technology
During the carbon moulding process, metal inserts are embedded and secure the spokes to the rim, without piercing the upper bridge. Fore technology eliminates the need for rim tape in a tubeless setup, with a perfect seal created every time.
Instant Drive 360 freewheel
A super light and efficient freewheel system that's versatile enough for a range of setups. Engagement is almost instant and a large contactless rubber seal reduces friction for a buttery smooth feel.
QRM auto bearings
Mavic's auto bearing preload hub technology keeps the wheels spinning smoothly without play for longer. These double-sealed bearings maximise durability, keeping maintenance to a minimum throughout the wheel’s lifetime.
Infinity hub
Mavic's Infinity hubs create uniform tension across all the spokes for stability, reliability and a responsive ride. Designed so there is no contact between spokes, the wheel rolls silently, even under high stress or in the event of impact. Every spoke is identical in length, meaning maintenance is simple and the spokes can be changed without dismantling the wheel.
