The Varia RearVue 820 features our most powerful and precise bike radar yet, with a wider field of view for more reliable alerts. The tail light offers visibility up to 2 km (1.24 miles) and includes a brake light that activates when you are slowing or stopping.

This radar detects vehicles approaching from up to 175 metres away with a wider field of view, helping you stay aware of traffic around you.
Bright Tail Light and Brake Light
The brightest tail light in the Varia range keeps you visible from up to 2 km (1.24 miles) away. The brake light detects when you are slowing or stopping and displays a unique flash pattern for increased safety.
Advanced Vehicle Tracking
See alerts for small, medium, and large vehicles, track lane changes, and view threat levels when using a compatible Edge® bike computer or the Varia app on your smartphone.
Custom Alerts
Receive visual and audible alerts by connecting the radar to the Varia smartphone app, compatible Edge bike computers, or Garmin smartwatches. Selected Garmin smartwatches also provide voice alerts for approaching vehicles via the Garmin Public Beta programme.
Variety of Light Patterns
Choose from four light patterns: day flash, night flash, solid mode, and peloton mode, which helps preserve the vision of riders behind you. Custom light patterns can be created in the Varia app.
Compact Design
A sleek, compact design and updated seatpost mount allow the Varia RearVue 820 to fit cleanly on almost any road or gravel bike. It is also compatible with the Varia seat rail mount kit (sold separately).
