About this model
Introducing the evolution of our celebrated Italia RC: a new, limited-edition, integrated race alloy frameset. Borrowing the carbon fork from our latest Leggero carbon frameset, the Italia RC is designed for riders who want to go fast on their bikes. Constructed from state-of-the-art 7000 series aluminium, and remodelled with a oversized 1.5" headtube and integrated cabling. The seamless integration of the bike’s cables from hoods down to the frameset (integrated handlebars and stem required) shrinks the cockpit’s frontal area and reduces drag.

The geometry of a frame refers to the lengths and angles of its tubes. It directly affects the way you ride and the way the bike handles. Condor's geometries are tried and tested, and adjusted between our models to suit their style.

Enhanced frame treatment
Once the frame has been welded and cleaned, it receives a light anodising treatment before being painted. This provides additional protection against corrosion, which combined with regular maintenance will help to keep your frame in good condition. Read more

The Italia models have been part of our range since the sixties. Dedicated to being fast and fun. The original Italia was designed for riders to use day-to-day and ride it to races at the weekend. The Italia RC offers performance by the bucketload, whatever your goal for the day.
Race proven geometry
We developed our geometry alongside alongside our UCI Continental team, JLT Condor. We turned to the peloton's tallest rider, Conor Dunne. His R&D 64cm model served as the ultimate test for our handbuilt aluminium frameset. The Italia RC exceeded all expectations. Conor rode it to a fifth-place finish in the Tour of Taiwan, battling through a challenging mountain-top finish to secure his General Classification position. The long alloy tubes to proving their strength in competition, their stiffness for elite performance, and their ride quality for gruelling all-day breakaways.
Custom drawn premium aluminium
At the heart of the Italia RC is its custom-drawn, 7000 series aluminium tubing. This advanced alloy is renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for thinner and lighter, yet stiff and durable frame construction. Hand-welded by our master craftsmen, each frame is built one at a time rather than on a production line. This allows a single builder to use less material at each join and dedicate greater attention to detail, ultimately enhancing the ride's overall quality.
Leggero carbon fork
The Italia RC is equipped with the same high-performance, full carbon fork found on our flagship carbon race frame, the Leggero. This premium fork is engineered for optimal stiffness, lightweight performance, and vibration damping, perfectly complementing the responsive nature of the aluminium frame and delivering exceptional handling. The full-carbon monocoque fork weighs just 350g uncut.
Integrated cable routing
Fully internal routing, with all cables running inside the frame. This not only provides a clean and uncluttered aesthetic but also contributes to improved aerodynamics by reducing drag. Riders can choose from a two-piece bar/stem (from Deda, ENVE, Condor or PRO), or a colour matched one-piece carbon handlebar.
1.5” head tube
The frame features a 1.5" head tube, which pairs seamlessly with our Leggero fork to deliver a premium, race-focused ride. A wider head tube than the Italia RC provides significant front-end stiffness. This design choice translates directly into razor-sharp steering precision and confidence during high-speed descents, aggressive cornering, and powerful sprints. The generous size of the head tube creates ample clearance for internal cabling. This ensures that brake hoses run smoothly without kinking or bending, an issue we've often observed on bicycles serviced in our store workshop.
T47 bottom bracket
Adopting the modern T47 bottom bracket standard ensures maximum power transfer efficiency thanks to its wide and stable platform. The threaded design offers superior reliability and ease of maintenance, eliminating creaks often associated with other systems. All Condor framesets use threaded bottom bracket systems. Fitting a threaded bottom bracket is simple, and the tool required is inexpensive and easily available.
Semi-dropped stays
Our latest frame features semi-dropped seat stays – a thoughtful approach that combines the best of both worlds. Unlike fully dropped designs, our seat stays are positioned to retain some of the bicycle's traditional, elegant lines, ensuring a familiar and pleasing aesthetic. Yet, this subtle drop isn't just for looks. By lowering the attachment point on the seat tube, we achieve enhanced vertical compliance, allowing the seat post and seat tube to flex more effectively. This translates to improved comfort on rougher roads, absorbing vibrations before they reach the rider.
Custom formed stays
We custom-formed the rear stays on our Italia RC and Italia RC Ltd by flattening the tubes, creating a wider horizontal profile. This increases lateral stiffness compared with a round tube of the same weight, allowing it to resist bending and twisting forces more effectively.
Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH)
Built for the demands of modern cycling, the Italia RC Ltd is equipped with a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH). This standardised dropout ensures future compatibility, enhanced drivetrain protection, and easy replacement of this crucial component.
