About this model
The Condor Acciaio Stainless will elevate your cycling to new heights. Made from stainless steel, a notoriously difficult material to work with, the Acciaio Stainless delivers a stunning ride and top-tier performance.
Our pricing includes custom geometry and custom design, as well as your choice of up to three paint colours. Choose from our popular endurance, race, audax, or select your own custom geometry, and enjoy a full bike fitting as part of the process.
Lead time for this model is 6–12 months from when you finalise the paint and colour scheme.
We make a handful of stainless steel frames with our popular road geometry in set sizes. All you have to do is choose the paint colour, if your size is available the lead time in approximately 3 months, more detail below.
Geometry
The geometry of a frame refers to the lengths and angles of its tubes. It directly affects the way you ride and the way the bike handles. Condor's geometries are tried and tested, and adjusted between our models to suit their style.

Chris King Headset included
Chris King headset is a coveted component. The Chris King Inset-7 headset is included as standard with all Acciaio Stainless models to provide a classic look. Made in USA. The legendary Chris King's headset is tough, smooth, and built to last for thousands of miles. You can also select Chris King headset in the colour of your choosing to suit your frameset design.
Ultralight premium carbon fork
The monocoque fork features internal brake routing to reduce snagging and damage to the cable, whilst maintaining optimal braking for longer. Constructed from one piece, high grade carbon fibre creates an ultra-lightweight, incredibly strong fork, ensuring that the power you put through the bike is not lost to fork flex. The one piece construction also means the fork legs do not need to be bonded onto an an steerer, which not only saves weight but also reduces the carbon material around the fork crown to maximise tyre clearance.
XCr stainless, the ultimate steel
Unlike other stainless steel tubesets, Columbus uses seamless stainless steel, which enables the tube walls to be drawn extremely thin at just 0.4mm. This keeps the weight low whilst having a higher stiffness to weight ratio than Titanium. It is corrosion resistant, too.
44mm headtube
Our 44mm head tube improves control and performance whilst keeping the elegance of a traditional stainless frame. We use the lightest stainless steel, XCr, which means the increase in headtube size does not affect frameweight compared to other stainless framesets.
Wide tyre clearance
Fit up to 32mm tyres and take it anywhere from Roubaix to Flanders, on the world's worst roads, or ribbons of the best Tarmac.
Metal head badge
Condor frames have carried an embossed head badge with a design that dates back to our first frames made in 1948. A laser-cut, copper head badge is included with all Acciaio Stainless frames. It is fixed to the frame with two stainless steel screws.
Your design, your colours, no extra cost
Attention to detail and design touches make the Condor Stainless unique to you. Choose from fifty paint colours, and select a design from our library or add your own touches. From polished logos and stays to fades, we’ve got lots of popular frame design ideas that are included in the price to help to design your frame. Check out some of the popular choices below.
Popular Design 1: Future Fade
This design features graduated bands on the top and down tube and polished rear stays. It looks great in a single colour, you can choose from one of our 50 custom colours.
Popular Design 2: Horizontal Colours
This design was first introduced with our team issue bikes. It features two colours and polished chainstays and bottom bracket. Our example features purple and melon but you can select any two colours of your choosing or ask us for assistance.
Popular Design 3: The Classic
The simple design are the often the timeless ones. The front triangle of the bike is painted in one of our 50 colour options and the rear is left exposed, some riders choose to paint a portion of the rear seatstays, as shown in our example.
Popular Design 4: The Heritage
Seat tube decals are often found on Condor frames dating from the fifties and sixties. This design is a version of that, where we have polished bands on the seat tube we also apply our original Condor logo in the centre of the seat tube.
Need it quickly?
We build a small selection of stainless steel framesets in our popular road geometry! Just pick your favorite paint color, personalise it with your design style, choose the headset color, and select the finishing lacquer to make it truly yours. If you decide to go for one of our pre-built frames, please note that custom geometry or extra features like rack mounts aren’t available. If we have the frame size you need, you can expect a lead time of about 3 months. Let's get started on building your dream bike!
Down tube decal options
The down tube design is up to you or we can make suggestions to suit the colour and finish you’ve selected. One of the most popular down tube designs features an exposed stainless steel, polished Condor logo. You can also choose to have a polished band and the Condor logo painted, or a white band with the logo painted.
Matt or gloss finish?
Included in the design process is a choice of finishing lacquer. You can choose between modern matt or slick gloss.
