Shimano’s Ultegra R8170 Di2 Disc groupset delivers near-flagship performance at a more accessible level, combining fast, precise electronic shifting with powerful hydraulic disc brakes. Updated motors and the new Di2 platform boost shift speed—58% faster at the rear, 45% at the front—while Hyperglide+ chainrings and cassettes ensure smooth, reliable gear changes under load.
The semi-wireless system connects shifters wirelessly to a central battery in the rear derailleur, which also houses the wireless unit, charging port, control button, and LED indicators. The 12-speed rear derailleur uses a single cage length compatible with 28–34T cassettes, simplifying setup without sacrificing performance.
Ultegra’s hydraulic disc brake levers use Servo Wave technology for precise modulation and comfort, while the compact, lightweight front derailleur delivers fast, accurate shifts.
