The Assos Tactica T5 is a premium, off-road specific bib short tailored for gravel racing, singletrack trail riding, and bike-packing adventures. This model is engineered for riders who require the muscle-stabilizing benefits of a high-end road bib but demand the rugged durability and storage solutions necessary for dirt and gravel. It features the off-road optimized TRAILFIT T5 silhouette, which leaves more room for dynamic body movements over technical terrain and sits comfortably beneath over-shorts if desired. Unlike the road-going Mille or Equipe lines, the Tactica T5 incorporates robust, high-clearance mesh cargo pockets and an insert tuned specifically to dampen the high-frequency vibrations and unpredictable impacts unique to off-road surfaces.
FEATURED FABRICS: Type.911 is a warp-knit textile with a silky-smooth, abrasion-resistant texture that provides stabilizing compression in a deeper, fuller black than the previous model. It's also hydrophobic and dries quickly, preventing weight gained through lingering moisture, and is equipped with odorControl properties and UPF 50+ protection. The pockets are created with panels of K-Net, a supportive, breathable warp-knit mesh that wraps contents in stabilizing security.
CONSTRUCTION/FIT: The TACTICA T5 mobility-enhancing fit is less aggressive than our racingFit, balancing streamlined, low-volume aerodynamics with multi-hour comfort and less restriction off the bike.

PILtec Plug-In: A lightweight, ultrabreathable textile band across the leg opening. The microdot silicone treatment is invisible from the outside but stabilizes fit and maintains grip while wet.

The EQUIPE range is designed for performance road riding, fast training, and racing. These bib shorts feature a close-fitting, compressive “second-skin” race fit intended to reduce movement, improve aerodynamics, and deliver maximum stability when riding in an aggressive position on the bike.
MILLE GT & MILLE GTS
The MILLE range is built for endurance riding and all-day comfort. Compared to EQUIPE, the fit is standard with additional comfort-focused features designed for longer rides and a less aggressive riding position.
TACTICA
The TACTICA range is developed for gravel, adventure, and off-road riding the fit is standard and similar to the Mille. These bib shorts balance long-distance comfort, durability, and stability for mixed terrain and extended days in the saddle.
Important Fit Advice
ASSOS bib shorts are anatomically designed to fit best while in the riding position, not when standing upright. When trying them on at home, the shoulder straps may feel firm and the insert (pad) may feel slightly higher or more noticeable than regular shorts. This is completely normal and is intentional within the ASSOS design philosophy.
Once seated on the bike, the bib straps relax into position and the insert is designed to sit flat against the body to eliminate movement, friction, and discomfort while riding.
For the best fit, the bib shorts should feel supportive and secure without excessive looseness, bunching, or fabric movement when in a riding position.
