Paul Smith und Harrods haben einen aufregenden neuen Pop-up-Konzeptladen für Radsportler eröffnet.

Der Raum, der am Dienstag, dem 10. April, eröffnet wurde, hat eine Laufzeit von zwei Monaten und befindet sich im Sportbereich im 5. Stock des berühmtesten Luxuskaufhauses der Welt. Der Installationsraum beherbergt drei Produkte; eine Auswahl von Rapha + Paul Smith, eine Kapselkollektion exklusiver T-Shirts mit auffälligem Grafikdruck und ein maßgeschneiderter Fahrradservice der bekannten Hersteller Condor, Brompton, Mercian und Paris. Jedes einzelne Fahrrad kann aus den vier im Ausstellungsraum gezeigten Fahrradrahmen ausgewählt werden und wird mit einem luxuriösen Ledersattel des weltbekannten britischen Fahrradherstellers Brooks vervollständigt.

Als lebenslanger Radsport-Enthusiast greift Paul Smith auf seine Radsportgeschichte zurück, um die kräftigen Farben für die Rapha-Trikotkollektion zu kreieren. Inspiriert von seiner Zeit beim Beeston Cycling Club, wo er mit Radrennen begann, sind auf der Innenseite der Gesäßtasche jedes Trikots ein Zitat und ein Bild von Paul zu sehen, die seine Zeit als junger Radfahrer schildern.

Das Condor Tempo Porteur ist ein komplettes Fahrrad mit integriertem Gepäckträger, mattem Finish und violetten Details. Condor hat auch eine Interpretation des klassischen Singlespeed-Fahrrads Paris Path entwickelt. Es ist als komplettes Fahrrad mit königsblauen Details und Ledersattel erhältlich. Beide Fahrräder können bei Harrods erworben werden.

Paul Smith + Condor

Paul Smith and Harrods have unveiled an exciting new cycling pop up concept shop.

The space, which opened on Tuesday 10th April 2012, will run for two months and can be found on the 5th floor sports area of the world's most famous luxury department store. The installation space is housing three products; a selection of Rapha + Paul Smith, a capsule collection of exclusive bold graphic printed T-shirts and a made-to-order bicycle service from prominent manufacturers Condor, Brompton, Mercian and Paris. Choosing from the four bicycle frames seen within the space, each unique bike will be finished with a luxury leather saddle from world-renowned British bicycle manufacturer Brooks.

A lifelong cycling enthusiast, Paul Smith draws reference from his cycling history to create the bold colours for the Rapha jersey collection. Inspired from his time at the Beeston Cycling club, where he started bike racing, the inside of the back pocket of each jersey features a quote and picture from Paul, detailing his time as a young cyclist.

The Condor Tempo Porteur is a complete bicycle with integrated rack, matte finish and purple detailing. Condor have also created a take on the classic Paris Path single speed. It is available as a complete cycle with royal blue detailing and leather saddle. Both bicycles are available to purchase from Harrods.
