The Route & Camp
On Saturday morning, we will roll out from the Condor shop in London heading south toward The Barn, KT9.
The Route
The 55km route is designed specifically to be accessible for first-timers carrying gear:
- Terrain: A smooth mix of quiet tarmac backlanes, double-track gravel, and non-technical bridleways.
- Pacing: Ride with our guided group at an easy, social pace, or load the provided GPX file onto your head unit to navigate at your own rhythm.
- Support: We'll have a team at The Barn to support with mechanical assistance and gear overflow if your setup needs adjusting.
What to expect at The Barn
We previously visited The Barn on our gravel ride out and they served up iced coffees and delicious brownies. The Barn whilst being a great cafe stop for rides it also has a campsite/glamping site area.
There are a hot showers & proper loo facilities: Wash off 55km of trail dust with two hot showers, flushing toilets, and fresh drinking water points located right on the campsite.
Every pitch has access to Weber BBQs: Every individual pitch completely free to use for cooking up dinner or roasting marshmallows.
Late-Night On-Site Café & Bar: The campsite café is extending its hours exclusively for our group. Roll in and grab a post-ride cold craft beer, or unwind with an Aperol Spritz as the sun sets over the Surrey hills. In the morning grab a coffee to start your day.
The Barn does not have access for cars.
Address: Rushett Farm, Leatherhead Rd, Chessington KT9 2NH
Fireside Q&A with Albion Ultra-Riders
After arriving at camp, setting up tents, and unwinding with cold drinks and food, we will gather around the campfire for Saturday evening’s highlight.
We are joined by Albion supported ultra-distance riders. Having tackled some of the world's toughest self-supported endurance races, Meg and Zoe will host an informal, open-floor Q&A. They will share honest stories, practical tips, packing strategies for changing weather, and advice on taking your off-road adventures further.
