Condor Classico Pista 70th Anniversary Singlespeed Bicycle
In celebration of 70 years of Condor, we built twelve special track bicycles for the Condor Keirin Trophy at the innurgral World Cycling Revival, which took place at Herne Hill Velodrome, the host of the 1948 Olympic cycling events. The limited edition collection of bicycles were used by the world's top Keirin riders during the three day event in June, where stars including track olympians Francois Pervis and Ed Clancy, OBE, and national Keirin champions from around the world, such as Joe Christiansen (USA), William Milkowski (Denmark), and Dominic Suozzi (USA) all used the bicycles to race in the Keirin events.
The colour and details of the frame are a near replica of the original race bikes of Condor's first team, Condor-Mackeson, a team which competed regularly at Herne Hill Velodrome in the 1950s and 1960s. The handmade frames utilise lightweight, modern super-butted Columbus SLX steel tubing, and are finished with hand-built wheels with the spokes tied and soldered for additional strength under acceleration and are topped with Brooks leather saddle. There are only twelve available in a range of sizes, so be sure not to miss out.
If you would like to buy this bike for the road, we can fit Condor Supremacy brakes and cross-top levers at no additional charge. As the bikes have been briefly used, they may show some cosmetic signs of use, but we will touch up any chips prior to dispatch.
