For 2017, the team long known as The Men in Black have a bold new palette and partnership with PEdAL ED
Launched in 2006, Condor's pro team, JLT Condor, has raced across the globe, and competed in far flung corners of the earth and at some of cycling's biggest events. As Britain's longest standing UCI team, the mantra of the squad has always been to ride with style and substance. The fifteen rider group is packed with talented riders that count Olympic medal, World titles, and stage race jersey in their palmares.
For 2017, the team long known as The Men in Black have a bold new palette and partnership with PEdAL ED, a Japanese born brand, exclusive to Condor. The new team design features dark blue and burgundy, which is translated across to the livery of their team issue carbon Leggero road bikes.
“With one eye to innovation and one eye to tradition we decided to celebrate Britain’s longest standing UCI team with a new look inspired by British colours”, explained Luca Mathia Bertoncello, Brand Director at PEdAL ED.
“In the last few years we have been working closely with Transcontinental Race riders to develop tough, functional equipment for long journeys. We now look to push the development of performance and aero clothing forward in collaboration with a team that has always stood out in the peloton."
"The new team frame is really exciting. The colours are set against the raw matte of our handmade carbon frame, making the bold segments stand out without overpowering the bike."
"The clothing, bikes and riders are three essential ingredients and I believe that, tied together as they are, is a winning formula", explained Condor designer, Ben Spurrier.
The Condor Leggero has been used by the team since 2006, albeit in various iterations. The continual development of the Leggero has been with the help of pro team rider testing and development. The latest update sees a Kammtail and new aero profile.
Team equipment will be available in Spring 2017.
