What we want for Christmas

We asked the people of Condor what they would like to be given for Christmas (hint hint). They chose a stocking filler, a gift under £50, and something more extravagant.

Gift selection: Ass Saver, Giro Neo Blaze gloves and Velocio gilet
Claire Beaumont, Press Officer, JLT Condor Pro Team

Stocking filler

Condor Ass Saver emergency mudguard, £6.50
A no brainer. Everyone needs this guard. No-one likes getting covered in rain water!

Under £50

Giro Neo Blaze Glove, £29.99
When you are racing in the cold, you need to protect your hands without compromising control. Made with waterproof Pertex fabric on the main body, the material keeps the water and wind out.

Top dollar gifting

Velocio Women's Wind Vest, £106.00
An exciting herringbone pattern with a vibrant flash of colour on the inside of the collar and four-way stretch windproof fabric. The wind vest has looks, excellent form fitting cut and performance. What's not to like?

Grant Young's Gift selection

Grant Young, Managing Director

Stocking filler

The World According to G (hardback), £20.00
Geraint Thomas lifts the lid on life as an Olympic gold medallist and loyal servant to Chris Froome. His humorous book shows why he is one of the most liked riders at Team Sky.

Under £50

Velobici Milano Scarf, £55.00
OK, so its a touch over the £50 threshold, but worth it. I'm amazed by the quality of Velobici equipment and the icing on the cake is that they champion British manufacturing. Velobici's sumptuously soft scarf feels plush and the solid navy colour with stripes makes it a natty off-bike item.

Top dollar gifting

Campagnolo Corkscrew, £129.99
A legend of Christmas gifts, I have an original 1970s corkscrew and it's stood the test of time. Fashioned in the traditional rabbit-ear style, this beautiful item is a must for any Campagnolo fan.

City rider gift selectionThomas Pettit, Head of Apparel

Stocking filler

Cafe du Cycliste Striped Cycling Socks, £14.00
Based on the socks of the seventies, you can't go wrong with these. All the way from the Cote d'Azur, a luxury pair of this at the bottom of the stocking says "I really do care".

Under £50

Buff Wool Neckwarmer, £25.00
This season, Buff, the creator of the original riding staple, 'The Buff', have branched out. Their new 100% merino wool neckwarmer feels luxurious next to skin. The natural properties of wool mean it's anti-stink and retains its shape better than cottons or synthetic fabrics. Longer than a traditional Buff, it is constructed from two seamless layers providing an additional insulation.

Top dollar gifting

Brooks Cambium C17 Saddle Denim Edition, £140.00
British brand, Brooks, wrapped a limited number of C17 saddles with re-purposed Levi's denim. The durable and waterproof saddle embodies both brands' ethos of delivering high quality, functional products for city riders.

    Secret Training Post-Race Wash, £5.99
    Flandrien Figures, £15.00
The power of a shower in a bottle without the need for water or a towel. It is anti-bacterial and will leave you squeaky clean, ready for a trip to the podium, and have a giggle with a pair of hand painted metal cycling figures.

    Under £50

Mavic Cold Ride Baselayer range, £45.00
Developed with our pro team, Mavic have completely revamped their baselayers and the results are impressive. There are no visible seams to eliminate chafing, and a blend of super soft merino and elastane fabrics moves moisture quickly away, whilst the layer holds its shape around the body. Much less bulky than a full merino tee, it's a winter training must have.
