In January Condor ran a competition to give a young film maker the chance to shoot and direct a 2012 Rapha Condor Sharp team short at their training camp in Spain.
Andrew Telling’s previous work and fresh take on the team captured the judges’ imagination at the final selection workshop in February and he was chosen to go on the training camp. His film, ‘Sella’, is the result of his week with the team and captures the Under 23s and the older mentors in the beautiful setting of Sella in southern Spain.
The 2012 season is a new beginning for the established UCI continental squad which has seen them ranked number one over the last three years. The ‘men in black’ had nothing left to prove in UK racing, and so the management and sponsors decided to pursue a challenging new direction.
With a passionate belief in British racing, the 2012 team is a platform to support new young talent.
The film competition reflects the different approach and ambitions of Rapha Condor Sharp and aims to provide a platform for a rising director to showcase their work.
