Ed Clancy wins the oddest bike race

Ed Clancy was victorious in one of the oddest bike races during Saturday night’s Revolution Track Series: the Longest Lap, otherwise known as the Marymoor Crawl.

Check out this video from the Revolution Series and watch Ed Clancy take control in an event that requires patience, speed and balance.

How the race works: Riders set off from turn four, and have to trackstand to ensure they do not cross the start/finish line until the bell rings. Riders get eliminated if they put a foot down, grab the rail, ride off the track surface, fall or touch another rider, or ride backwards during the trackstanding period. At the end of a time unknown to the riders a bell rings signalling the start of a sprint. The winner is the first to complete a lap.
